In designing this sample portfolio page, I deliberately opted for a minimalist black-and-white design, punctuated only by a few strategic color accents such as the vibrant strip in the navigation bar and specific elements like headings, buttons, or the form. My intention was to experiment with a restrained color palette and instead emphasize design elements such as colons preceding headings or double quotation marks around quotes to add depth to the design. Furthermore, I aimed to imbue the page with a recurring pattern to ensure a consistent visual aesthetic. The decision to fix the navigation bar was made not only for practical reasons to enhance user-friendliness but also to maintain a subtle color contrast throughout the page. Personally, I find the form particularly appealing, especially the interaction with the input fields, which facilitate intuitive usage for the user. Additionally, the slider effect on the customer testimonials injects a sense of dynamism into the design, while the hover effect on the references aids in focusing on the design being viewed at any given moment.
